Family Art Lab and Book Nook (Springfield Art Museum)

Need a fun FREE outing that will give your kids an hour or two of creative play? The Springfield Art Museum has a little section in their Education Wing called the Family Art Lab and Book Nook, a cute area with lots of interactive and imagination-enhancing toys and activities for tiny humans. There’s a quiet place to read kid-friendly art books, some large foam blocks to build and tumble over, magnatiles, dress ups (my kids’ favorite part!), puzzles, art games, and quite a few other things to engage them for as long as they can keep pretending and creating! You’ll probably meet some other kids and their parents/grandparents, too. Drop in whenever you like, and stay as long as you can. It’s free and fun and a great option for the winter months!
