We love listening to 88.3 The Wind, one of Springfield, Missouri’s family-friendly Christian radio stations. So when I found out that they had a Kids Club, I signed my kids up right away. It’s so easy to do! Just go to https://88.3thewind.com/features/clean-air-kids-club and fill out the registration form toward the bottom of the page for any kids under 12 years old.
Membership in the 88.3 CleanAIR Kids Club is FREE and includes a membership card (emailed); a monthly e-newsletter with a theme, memory verse, prayer and activity page; a birthday card during your child’s birthday month; a drawstring backpack; and special invites to 2-3 CleanAIR Kids Club events each year.
You can opt to either have the packet mailed to you or you can stop into the station. I would highly recommend stopping into the radio station if you live close enough (2550 S Campbell Ave #100, Springfield, MO 65807). We decided to pick up our packet in person and I’m so glad that we did. The guy at the front desk was super friendly and not only went to get the girls their drawstring backpacks, but offered pens and car stickers and lollipops. We were able to see “a real live radio man” through a window in the front, and they actually invited us inside the studio when he had a break! My oldest got to wear the headphones and talk into the microphone, which she thought was amazing. They took pictures with us and made sure to make us feel so welcome.
Now my kids are even more excited when they hear 88.3 on the radio because they have met some of the people who make it happen, tried out a radio mic and, of course, got lollipops. My daughter hasn’t stopped asking questions about how the radio works and how it goes from “88.3 The Wind in the building to our car radios,” which we’ve either looked up answers to or deflected to Daddy.
